MONTHLY PROGRAMS

Adult Book Discussion Groups
The Coal City Public Library District has two Book Discussion Groups that meet at the library.. Both groups meet on the first Tuesday of the month. There is an afternoon group that meets at 1:00 p.m. and an evening group that meets at 6:00 p.m. Join us!

The library also hosts the Country Meadows Book Discussion Group at the Country Meadows Clubhouse located at 67 Oregon Trail, Diamond, on the second and the fourth Mondays of each month at 10 AM.

BINGO at the Library!
Bingo for adults at the library. Prizes and refreshments. This is a free program but registration is suggested. Monthly event occurs on a Friday - check the events calendar for dates.

Card Stampers Ink
Card making program for experienced card makers with their own supplies and materials. We meet generally on the first Friday of the month from 9-4. But check the events calendar to be sure!

Coffee at the Library
Join us the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 10 AM for coffee and conversation!

Crochet Camp
Dishcloth to Afghan. Join us each month on the 2nd Tuesday at 6:00 in our annex and learn a new crochet pattern. Make a dishcloth… like it a lot ? Find out how to make it an afghan, scarf or baby blanket. You need to know the basics of how to crochet. With a G size hook and one 14oz. cone of Peaches and Crème yarn (from Walmart-Cheapest) make all the dishcloth patterns, September to May.

Ladies' Coloring Club
Join us the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 10 AM for this anti-stress creative activity. It is a fun and relaxing time visiting and sharing refreshments while we create.

Memory Keepers
Are you new to scrapbooking, or an old pro? Either way, come join us for a fun day of scrapbooking and friendship! We'll meet the second Tuesday of every month from 9 AM - 4 PM!

Parenting Diabetic Kids
This is a support group for parents & caregivers of children with diabetes. It meets monthly on the last Wednesday of the month at 6:30 PM in the library annex.

Rudolph Day
Want to destress Christmas 2016? Join our Rudolph Club and get a head start on next Christmas. Work on your Christmas crafts, cards, Christmas organizer – whatever you need to do to get yourself organized for Christmas 2016! We'll meet the last Tuesday of every month from 9-4. Come the first time as a guest to check us out! Prizes, drawings, and food!

Sew Good Friends
If you need a sewing buddy, if you're in need of some new sewing tips or have some to share, if you are a beginning sewer or a veteran who will share ideas, or if you enjoy sewing and want to make new friends, join us! Our meetings are the 3rd Monday of each month at 5:30 PM.

Senior Exercise
This is a low impact, aerobic exercise class designed for seniors. The class meets at the Coal City Middle School Community Room. If it is your first time attending you must bring a doctor’s consent. Join us for exercise for one hour on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 9 AM.
